Rod Stewart is Carjacked

April 26, 1982 - Today was the day that rock star Rod Stewart was carjacked on Sunset Blvd.

The singer was standing next to his $50,000 Porsche when a gunman demanded the keys. Stewart handed them over and the robber sped away in the sportscar.

Nobody was hurt and the car was eventually recovered, but Stewart was very shaken by the incident. Within a month he decided to move back to his native England.
