Bluey

Bluey

November 14, 1939 - After 29 years and 5 months of living it up as an Australian cattle dog, Bluey, finally kicked the bucket. He is the oldest dog ever verified by Guinness World Records.

Bluey spent his life herding cattle and sheep in the Australian outback. His owners were amazed by his longevity, and when he hit 20 years old they joked that he might outlive them. At 25 years, they stopped joking.

Keep in mind, the average life expectancy of a dog is between 12 and 13 years, so Bluey was definitely an overachiever.
