The Captain

January 2, 2019 - The world knew his as “The Captain” in the super successful powerpop duo known as The Captain and Tennille. His real name was Daryl Dragon and he died on this day of kidney failure at the age of 76.

Daryl got his big start playing keyboards for the Beach Boys. After marrying Toni Tennille, they formed the act that would go on to sell millions of records including Billboard Hot 100 hits. Their iconic song, “Love Will Keep Us Together” won record of the year.
