Biggest Turtle

September 23, 1988 - This was the day that the largest turtle ever found washed up on a beach in Wales. He had drowned after getting tangled in some fishing nets.

This amazingly large leatherback turtle measured 9 feet from snout to tail and he weighed over 2000 pounds. The turtle's age was estimated to be at least 100 years.
